The main limitation of conventional machining processes is “the tool should be harder than the work price material”. But in engineering application there are many materials developed, which are beyond the reach of available tool materials. Particularly in nuclear power and aero-space applications, there is a demand for materials which can with-stand very high pressures and temperatures. In order to shape such materials, there is no, conventional machining process. Hence, un-conventional machining processes were developed. Various un-conventional Machining Processes were developed for different applications. Even though the Un-conventional machining processes, find many applications, these all have some limitations of very low metal removal rates and control of shapes of machining. Hence, currently there is constant research work is going on, to establish various process parameters of un-conventional machining processes, that will maximize the metal removal rates.
